How the Process Works
1. Initial Evaluation
We perform an on-site inspection to assess your current roof and determine what upgrades are needed to meet the FORTIFIED standard.
2. Planning & Upgrades
You work with a certified FORTIFIED contractor to make the necessary upgrades, such as a sealed deck or impact-rated shingles.
3. Final Certification
We re-inspect the finished work. Once we confirm all standards are met, we issue your official IBHS FORTIFIED certificate, which is valid for five years.
4. Renewals
After five years, we can perform a re-inspection to help you maintain your certification and continue receiving your insurance discounts.
